An opportunity for young skiers to compete and have fun.

The Otis Ridge Race Program has been developing young ski racers from across the Tri-state area and beyond for over 30 years. The program is open to a broad range of ages and levels, from skiers new to racing, to seasoned competitors. Our coaching and training approach looks to challenge young skiers while creating a joy for skiing and the outdoors. We aim to create a fun experience while developing skills, promoting sportsmanship, and creating a genuine sense of team. The program generally begins the first weekend in January and runs through the first week in March. Practice is held on Saturdays and non-race Sundays during the ski season, and coaches are all certified by the United States Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA).

Please note: There are several fun and engaging youth programs available at Otis Ridge for skiers looking to develop their skills; and skiers wanting to join the race program will need to go through an on-snow evaluation with a coach or area instructor to make sure they are being directed toward the program most appropriate for their current developmental level. Some basic expectations for all young racers include: being able to: ride any area ski lift on their own, ski down every run in control, and able to take their skis on and off while up on the mountain.
